Account security is of utmost importance at Cowrywise, and we take any potential hacking concerns seriously. If you suspect unauthorized access to your email or Cowrywise account, we recommend taking immediate action to protect your account. This includes disabling your Cowrywise account or contacting our support team for assistance in disabling it manually. Additionally, changing your account password and email account password should be a priority if you suspect unauthorized login activity.

If you suspect that your Cowrywise account has been compromised, we urge you to follow these steps to ensure the safety of your account and personal information:

  1. Ensure no one has access to your login details

  2. Do not share your PIN and password with a 3rd party.

  3. Do not give anyone access to your email account.

  4. Reach out to us immediately if you notice or think your email account is compromised or if you notice any irregularities so we can have your Cowrywise account blocked.

  5. You can reach out to us to block your account should your phone get stolen.

  6. You can also choose not to use the Google Save password option for your account login.

Once you have taken the necessary steps to address any potential security issues and you wish to have your Cowrywise account re-enabled, please contact our support team at support@cowrywise.com. To ensure a smooth resolution, kindly provide the following information:

  1. A clear image of your government-issued ID card.

  2. A selfie of you holding the same ID.

  3. A selfie of you holding a sheet of paper with today's date written on it.

Additionally, it is advisable to change your account email address to a secure and private address that is only accessible to you.

If you require further assistance or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team.
