We have tight security in place that protects our customers' funds and accounts, and we also advise our customers to take extra security measures on their part to prevent exposing themselves to malicious security threats.

Here are some of the ways to protect your financial accounts;

  1. Setting up a strong unique password that is not easily guessable to anyone else; a strong password includes letters in upper and lower case, with numbers and special characters. Your name shouldn’t be your password, and your date of birth shouldn't be your PIN.

  2. Avoid clicking on phishing and suspicious links to prevent your sensitive information from being stolen.

  3. Be cautious of sharing your personal information online, offline, or over the phone.

  4. Frequently review your financial accounts and linked accounts, and if you’ve identified any suspicious or unauthorized transactions or activities, immediately reach out to your financial institutions.

  5. Change your password often

  6. Set up 2FA on your financial accounts

  7. Avoid logging into your financial accounts and email accounts on a 3rd party device and if you have to, ensure to log out of all sessions after each use.

  8. Log out of all sessions, clear data and clear cache on your apps when you have to discard your phone

  9. In the case of a stolen phone, temporarily disable access to your financial accounts till you reset and recover all your accounts to prevent 3rd party access from your stolen device.

  10. Set up security questions and answers on your account

  11. Avoid logging into your financial accounts and entering your security information in a public space.

  12. Beware of the free internet hotspots you connect to and only use secured WiFi networks

  13. Update your app software regularly to stay up to date with the latest security updates your service providers have for you.

Empowering yourself and taking control of your financial security requires adopting strong security practices, and being cautious with your personal information, to significantly reduce the risk of falling victim to cybercriminals.
